In 2026, the Laver Cup will return to a former host city for the first time, as London’s iconic O2 Arena prepares to stage the event once again.

The venue was the emotional epicenter of the 2022 edition, where Team World claimed its first-ever victory, and Roger Federer bid farewell to professional tennis in one of the sport’s most poignant moments. Four years on, the Laver Cup will return to the site of that unforgettable weekend, poised to create new memories and celebrate a decade of team tennis redefined. Here’s a look at some of the key numbers and milestones that tell the story of the Laver Cup’s evolution, and why its return to London is more than just a rematch.

10 Years Since the Laver Cup Was Announced
In 2016, at a press event in New York City attended by tennis greats Bjorn Borg, Rafael Nadal, Rod Laver, Roger Federer and John McEnroe, the concept of a tennis tournament inspired by golf’s Ryder Cup was unveiled. Ten years later, the Laver Cup has become one of the sport’s most distinctive and beloved competitions on the ATP Tour calendar.
