
Aspiring ballkids will have a shot at a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to be on court with some of the world’s best men’s tennis players at Laver Cup 2026 taking place at The O2 in London from September 25-27, 2026.
Anyone 12-16 years of age as of September 25, 2026 is eligible. If you feel you have what it takes, you must register for and participate in one of two ballkid tryouts for the chance to be selected to the Laver Cup London Ballkid Team. Read on for more details.
Anyone 12-16 years of age as of September 25, 2026 is eligible to participate in the Laver Cup ballkid program.
You don’t need to be a high level tennis player, but should have an interest in tennis and have a basic understanding of the tennis scoring system.
Tryouts
You must register for and participate in one of two ballkid tryouts for the chance to be selected to the team. The tryouts will be held in June or July at two locations in London. The date and location of the tryouts will be announced later.
Training Sessions
If you are selected to the team, you will be required to participate in a series of training sessions leading up to the tournament to equip you with the skills to be a top-tier ballkid. The date and location of the training sessions will be announced later.
Orientation Session
If you are selected to the team, you will be required to take part in an orientation and training session on Thursday, September 25, 2026 from 11:00am – 2:30pm at The O2. This will be your first opportunity to be on court with the players as they prepare for their matches.
Match Days
If you are selected to the team, you must be available to work all five sessions across three days of the Laver Cup, September 25-27, 2026 at The O2. The tournament schedule can be found here. Ballkids will be expected to arrive at the arena 90 minutes prior to the match start time.
The ballkid tryouts will be held in June or July at two locations in London. The date and location of the tryouts will be announced later. You only need to register for and participate in one of the tryouts not both. Each tryout will be split into two sessions. You only need to participate in one of the sessions which will be assigned to you based on the number of applicants for each tryout. Check-in opens 15 minutes prior to the session start time.
Each tryout will be run by a team of qualified tennis professionals who will assess the kids on vital ballkid skills including: agility, coordination, balance, speed, endurance and teamwork.
Following each tryout, the evaluators will review their assessments and select the top 24 kids to form the Laver Cup London Ballkid Team. Everyone who participates in a tryout will be notified of the outcome via email a few days following the tryout.
If you think you have what it takes and are willing to commit to the training and event requirements, you are encouraged to register for a tryout. Registration for the tryouts will open on a date in May or June to be announced later. A registration link will be posted on this page when available. You may only register for one tryout (duplicate registrations will be deleted). Registration is free however spots are limited to 200 per tryout. If the tryout cap is reached, applicants will be randomly selected to participate. You will be notified soon after registration has closed if you have been selected to participate in the tryout and if so, the specific session you have been assigned.

All applicants will be required to obtain parent/guardian consent and acceptance of the Laver Cup’s Terms of Participation as part of the registration process.
The Laver Cup is not responsible for any travel or incremental expenses you may incur to attend the tryout, training sessions, orientation session and/or the match days.
