Want to know when pairings will be announced at the Laver Cup? Your guide to commonly asked questions as we count down to this exciting new team competition unfolding from September 22-24, when Europe will take on the World.  

When will the schedule for Friday come out? Who is playing when?

The captains of Team Europe, Bjorn Borg, and Team World, John McEnroe, will announce their first picks on Thursday (September 21) at 1pm for Friday’s matches. These will be posted on the home page of  lavercup.com shortly after the captains exchange cards.

There are two singles matches for the day session on Friday starting at 1pm, and a singles match followed by a doubles match in the night session, starting at 7pm.

What about the schedule for Saturday and Sunday?

This will follow a similar pattern. The captains will announce their players on Saturday morning for the day and night session. On Sunday, they will announce who is playing before the action starts at 12pm.

Will Federer be selected to play with Nadal in doubles?

This is up to captain Bjorn Borg, who has said it is a combination everyone wants to see. This will depend on a number of factors and Borg’s strategy for winning the overall competition.

Can people watch the practice sessions at the O2 Arena?

Yes, there is a practice court adjacent to the Fan Zone. Players will warm up in the morning before matches. The stadium is open 90 minutes before play starts.

Can fans get autographs?

There are no official ‘autograph signing’ areas.

Where is the Fan Zone, what time does it open?

The fan zone is located next to the O2 arena and is open during the following times:
Thursday 21 September 10:00-17:00
Friday 22 September 10:00-22:00
Saturday 10:00-22:00
Sunday 9:30-21:00

What happens in the Fan Zone?

View Laver Cup matches live on the giant screen in the Laver Cup Fan Zone. Fans will be able to purchase a range of international and local food, as well as a wide range of beverages. Learn about Laver Cup legends Rod Laver, John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg at a special exhi­bition by the International Tennis Hall of Fame and find out how the Laver Cup came about, including the making of the Laver Cup trophy. There will be an opportunity to have your photo taken with the trophy at certain times, and you will also be able to see players practicing on the adjacent training court.

Is the Fan Zone free?

Yes.

Where can I watch the Laver Cup in my country

Check out the Broadcast page to see if the Laver Cup is being televised in your country. There will be a live stream on lavercup.com throughout the competition subject to broadcast restrictions in certain territories. You will see a ‘watch live’ button if the stream is available in your country.

Is there a dress code for dining rooms if I have bought a special ticket package?

Yes, smart business attire but no tie is required.

Can I still buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased at Ticketportal, subject to availability.

Is there an event program?

Yes, there is. This will be available for purchase for 100 CZK at the O2 Arena, along with a range of merchandise.
