Fans will have their first opportunity to see some of the world’s top men’s tennis players in action when the Laver Cup London 2026 teams hit the Laver Cup’s dramatic black court for Open Practice Day presented by FICO at The O2 on Thursday, September 24.
Featuring 12 of the world’s top 25 players, Laver Cup London’s Open Practice Day gives fans a unique opportunity to watch Team Europe and Team World fine-tune their preparations on the eve of the tournament, which takes place from September 25-27, 2026.
Team World will take to the court from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, followed by Team Europe from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Fans can expect an electric atmosphere featuring spectacular lighting, music, courtside player and captain interviews, and an activity-packed outdoor Fan Zone at The O2. The Fan Zone will open at 10:00am, and arena doors will open at 11:00am.
This year Team Europe will be led by Captain Yannick Noah and Vice Captain Tim Henman, with World No. 2 Alexander Zverev, World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz, World No. 7 Flavio Cobolli, World No. 14 Rafael Jodar, World No. 15 Jakub Mensik, and World No. 18 Casper Ruud confirmed. Captain Andre Agassi and Vice Captain Pat Rafter will lead Team World, with World No. 4 Ben Shelton, World No. 9 Alex de Minaur, World No. 10 Taylor Fritz, World No. 13 Learner Tien, World No. 17 Alexander Bublik, and World No. 23 Francisco Cerundolo also set to compete.
More than 2,000 young people from schools, tennis programs, and youth organizations across London will also attend Open Practice Day as guests of the event, giving them the opportunity to experience the Laver Cup and see some of the best players in the world in action.
“Open Practice Day is a fantastic opportunity for fans, particularly young people and families, to experience the Laver Cup up close and see the players preparing for the competition,” said Steve Zacks, Laver Cup CEO. “We are proud to partner with FICO and the LTA Tennis Foundation to ensure the event’s impact reaches beyond the court – supporting work that opens the game to more people and communities across London and building on the community legacy we established when we were last in London in 2022.”
“Tennis and opportunity run on the same fundamentals: early learning, practice, and equal access,” said Rukiya Kelly, Global Head of Corporate Impact & Engagement at FICO. “Our partnership with the Laver Cup puts that philosophy into practice with thousands of young people across the UK – building pathways for the next generation, on and off the court.”
All proceeds from Open Practice Day ticket sales will be donated to the LTA Tennis Foundation, supporting its work to improve lives through tennis. This work includes the Foundation’s grant-making program, which has already reached more than 34,000 people across Britain, alongside investment in Rally Together London, a three-year partnership between the Mayor of London and the LTA designed to open tennis up to more young people and communities across the capital.
In addition, the charitable partnership will support the LTA Tennis Foundation through a range of Laver Cup fundraising initiatives, including ticket sales, fan activations and the return of the ‘FICO Donation Score’ initiative, which will pledge £50 for every winner hit during the competition.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Laver Cup and FICO for their support of the LTA Tennis Foundation and our mission to improve lives through tennis,” said Tom Gibbins, Head of LTA Tennis Foundation Development. “The Laver Cup is one of the most exciting events in the sporting calendar, but its impact extends far beyond what happens on the court. Thanks to their support, we can invest in programs that help people and communities access the unique and life-changing benefits of tennis.”
