A new city. A new arena. A new chapter. California’s Intuit Dome promises a bold new setting for Laver Cup 2027, bringing the competition to one of the world’s most innovative sports and entertainment venues for the first time and marking the 10th anniversary of the event.

Opened in 2024 in Inglewood for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers, the 17,800-seat venue was built for entertainment, said Clippers’ chairman Steve Ballmer. Lively entertainment, at that. “I like the concept of the dome,” Ballmer said. “It feels sort of more unique, more energetic.”

Laver Cup brings its electric energy to the Intuit Dome next year from September 24-26, returning to California for the second time in three editions following San Francisco in 2025.

“We’re incredibly proud to help bring such a marquee event in tennis to Los Angeles,” said Gillian Zucker, CEO of Halo Sports and Entertainment, the group that owns both the Clippers and Intuit Dome “Intuit Dome takes enormous pride in hosting some of the biggest events in sports. Each event challenges us to think differently and continue elevating the event experience for fans from around the world.”

Conveniently located across the street from SoFi Stadium, just three miles from Los Angeles International Airport and seven miles from Southern California’s famed beaches, Intuit Dome is designed to impress from the moment fans arrive. Inside, the experience reaches another level.

The arena’s spectacular 44,000-square-foot, double-sided Halo Board provides a digital canvas unlike anything in tennis, creating new possibilities for bringing the action, replays and match information to life. Adding to the atmosphere is The Wall—the NBA’s first soccer-style supporters’ section—an uninterrupted 51-row stand accommodating approximately 5,000 fans, including 400 safe-standing spaces designed to generate constant noise and energy.

“It’s exciting to host our first tennis event at Intuit Dome,” Zucker said. “Every sport has its own traditions, energy and connection with fans. We’re looking forward to exploring how features like the Halo Board and our production capabilities can enhance the Laver Cup experience while staying true to what makes this event and sport so special.”

The venue brings fans closer to the court than any other NBA arena. Row 20 of The Wall, for example, is 45 feet closer—almost a complete NBA half-court—than a fan sitting at the same height along the baseline in the Clippers’ former downtown arena. And the last row in the Intuit Dome is 70 feet closer to the court than the top seat downtown.

“The view of the game and comfort of the seat is what we spend the most care and time on,” Zucker said.

The seating bowl offers the most legroom of any NBA arena, top to bottom, and every seat in the building has its own power outlet.

Around 60 percent of fans enter through the main doors, traversing through a plaza into an indoor-outdoor space that leads into the dome. Zucker said this makes a statement and creates a sense of place. The 80,000-square-foot open-air plaza provides ample flexibility for Laver Cup to activate fan-focused attractions. Surrounded by bars, restaurants, art installations, and a regulation-sized basketball court, the plaza can transform into a celebration of tennis before fans even enter the venue.

Intuit Dome features three premium spaces on the club level and three lounges on the floor level. The main concourse includes a full-sized regulation court that can host a variety of special events.

“Intuit Dome has redefined the fan experience and set a new benchmark for live sport. We can think of no better city and venue to host the 10th edition of the Laver Cup.” – Steve Zacks, Laver Cup CEO

The technology-forward concession program—each concession stand boasts its own kitchen for freshness—offers 40 stands equipped with frictionless, checkout-free payment systems. The technology doesn’t stop, as Intuit Dome includes solar panels and an on-site battery storage system that can generate enough power to run an event off the grid.

Already, Intuit Dome has hosted the 2026 NBA All-Star Game and will serve as a basketball venue during the 2028 Olympic Games, cementing its spot in worldwide sports.

“Los Angeles is one of the world’s leading destinations for major sporting events and live entertainment,” said Laver Cup CEO Steve Zacks. “Intuit Dome has redefined the fan experience and set a new benchmark for live sport. We can think of no better city and venue to host the 10th edition of the Laver Cup.”
