Volunteers

 

Laver Cup is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic workforce to support the delivery of Laver Cup 2021 in Boston. Please see below for a list of available roles.

• All roles will be included as part of a roster, however full availability is expected during the date range supplied.

• If you are unable to work any of the days listed, please highlight this in your application, so it can be considered prior to rostering shifts

• Applicants from outside Boston must arrange their own Transport and Accommodation

• There are a limited number of roles in each area, so your first preference may not be available

• All applications will be considered and allocated based on preference, availability and relevant experience

• All applicants will receive a response in a timely manner regarding their applications status

• Successful volunteers will need to complete an induction and on-site training session (date TBC)

• All volunteers will be provided with a Laver Cup uniform and meals will be provided for all shifts worked

• Successful applicants in a Tier 1 or 2 Accreditation Zone may be required to be Vaccinated against COVID-19

Ballkids

Ballkids Registration

Applications to become a Ballkid at Laver Cup Boston 2021 are now open! Please complete your registration for trials commencing 12 July. Applications will close once all spaces are filled so get in quick!

Please note eligible Ballkids must be 12-15 years old on September 20, 2021 and attend 4 training sessions in the lead up to the Event.

Accreditation

Dates Required: Must be available between 15 – 26 September

  • Assist with the set-up and strike of all accreditation office and systems
  • Process accreditation applications and passes
  • Facilitate the collection and distribution of accreditation passes during event

 

Experience in Event Operations and/or Accreditation preferred

Court Services

Dates Required: Must be available between 15 – 26 September

  • Assist with the set-up and pack-up of the court services area
  • Assist with the delivery of towels, drinks, ice, toiletries and miscellaneous supplies to nominated areas
  • Assist with the coordination of ball and towel retrieval
  • Assist with the court set-up for both the center court and practice court
  • Daily collection and delivery of player laundry to and from the player change room

 

Tennis knowledge preferred

Operations

Dates Required: Must be available between 12 – 26 September

  • Assist event and site operations management with various tasks as directed
  • Assist with Administrative duties as required
  • Assist with stock management throughout the event
  • Assist with uniform packing and distribution
  • Liaise with functional area managers and support event workforce requirements
  • Assist with daily tasks, reward and recognition program and welfare checks for event workforce

 

Experience in Event Operations preferred

Media & Photographer Services

Dates Required: Must be available between 21 – 26 September

  • Assist with media and photographer enquiries
  • Oversee welcome desk and info area
  • Update media website with transcripts and audio files
  • Provide general assistance Media areas

 

Media / Journalism or Tennis knowledge preferred

Player Welcome Host

Dates Required: Must be available between 15 – 26 September

  • Assist team managers with duties relating to the players both on-site and at team hotels
  • Provide tournament related information to relevant event areas as required

  • Support show and event producers during rehearsals

  • Support the LED control room team in triggering content changes on LED Screens

Dates Required: Must be available between 18 – 26 September

  • Assist both the Team Europe and Team World Managers and Team Services Manager to ensure optimum and world-class on-site delivery to the players and their guests
  • Provide tournament related information to relevant event areas as required

 

Player / Tennis knowledge preferred.
City of Boston knowledge highly desirable.
